Quick Tip: Fix “NO DC” on screens.

Many people with Nvidia GPUs have recently been experiencing issues with the letters “NO DC” appearing in the top left of Ren’py games, Adobe applications, and other things.

The issue is with the fact that Threaded optimization is set to Disabled.

However, there is a very simple and quick fix for this issue.

Open up your Nvidia Control Panel.

  1. Go to Manage 3D settings
  2. Click on “Restore”.
  3. Then click on “Apply”.

Now when you start any Ren’py game or other application, the “NO DC” should be gone.

I had YES DC on my VN screens rather than the NO DC shown above, but using your info I checked my settings and found the option for Threaded optimization was set to “Custom”…I manually changed it to “Auto” and applied it… now my Renpy VN apps no longer show any message..
