City of broken dreamers(COBD) developed by PhillyGames is a lush visual novel with stunning visuals and a compelling story that anyone can find hard to dislike. And like everyone says, the cyberpunk Esque themes are undeniable, to be honest, they are very well executed. With 10 chapters released, COBD is an elite example for a game that finds the right balance between the sexual content and the story content especially with a story that is this good.
City of Broken Dreamers follows the story which is centered around the future LA, with corps and media dominating the society, you play as the Ghost, a bounty hunter for hire. Among Ghosts, you are considered one of the best, but behind that lies a man running from his troubled past. Your next mark is a young girl with a hidden, and troubling secret. And when you face her, you’ll face your demons as well. Exploring this girl, the mysteries behind her, and going into her mind. You are going to meet many interesting characters through this journey, the one packed with plenty of courage, fun, uncertainty, and…sex.
If I were to talk about this game I can go on and on but this is not a review so let me make it short and straight to the point. COBD is not one of those games that are bland, awkward, creepy, cheap, or predictable. It shows no signs of mediocrity and there are highs and maybe some meh moments but not many lows. Overall, stunning visuals, coherent storyline, sleek UI design, and nice music that fits the theme and helps the experience as a whole.
